![]() After upgrading it to the Fall update version 1511 Build 10586, USB mass storage devices such as USB Flash drives work again, and the usbstor.inf driver files areīack in their proper places in C:\Windows\Inf and C:\Windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository. Instead, I noticed this computer was running the original Windows 10 build 10240 version. That would have been my last resort to fix the problem. Hi Akheel, my problem is fixed, but not by using the "Reset this PC" option, which is fairly destructive since it removes all of the Apps etc. A full driver reinstall involves completely removing the currently installed driver and then letting Windows install it over again from scratch. Properly reinstalling a driver, as in the instructions linked above, isnt the same as simply updating a driver. Keep us posted with the status of the issue, we are here to assist you.
